i'm finally back from holidaying overseas !! really had a great time, although i miss home sweet home & volley lots xD wow... kind of have a feeling that this whole place has changed lots. well, maybe it's just me. who knows, right ?? *yawn* feeling real tired & drowsy this instant... will try 2 post more about my trip during the next 2 to 3 days -- after i've so totally recharged... so nites folks, 4 now !! i'm off 2 bed. zzzzzzzzzzzzz...

went 2 outram sec 2 have friendly match with them 2day. glad 2 say we've won every single set (there were 3 sets in total). yaaaayyyy !! so happy... xD too bad gloria wasn't there cause she needed 2 help her mom babysit... felt quite lonely the whole way...

anyways, i rushed home after the match which ended at roughly around say, 4 pm ?? needed 2 make last minute arrangement b4 going 2 the airport. yeah... i'll be going overseas 4 quite a number of days.

& b4 i forget 2 do so, happy b'day 2 gloria (b'day: 23 nov) and calista (b'day: 26 nov)

great !! 'seagulls' managed 2 win hillgrove sec in the mini cup xD 3 cheers and 3 cheers and 3 cheers 4 all of them: hip hip hooray !! hip hip hooray !! hip hip hoorraayy... after the match, coach generously treated us 2 lunch at Seoul Gardens: the table bbq pple. wow !! you should have seen how 'seagulls' ate their food. u'll never imagine it...
: kahbing -- despite her petite size, she sure can amaze u at how much she much she can eat... munch munch munch !!
: julliana -- look at her thin body & u'll instantly think that she can't even finish 1 plate of chicken rice but how wrong can u get ??
: gloria -- i all along knew of her big big appetite so... i guess it wasn't much of a suprise 2 me...
: venessa -- well... i guess that she can be considered 2 eat 'normally'
: weining & felicia & huimin -- i dare u 2 try counting how many plates they'd eaten... u'd probably think the same as the wash- dish- guy: 'huh... y 2day suddenly need 2 wash so much ??'
: jafie -- she's almost the twin of kahbing when it comes 2 eating so yeah... just try picturing it !!
: genevie & calista -- almost the 'twins' of venessa, i guess... don't overeat but never undereat too !!

yay !! finally had time 2 do some of my favourite stuff... xD it sure was great !! & talking abt this reminds me of a story. it goes like this:

When things in ur life seem 2 much 2 handle, when 24hrs in a day r not enough, remember the jar & the coffee...

A professor stood b4 his class & had some items in front of him. When class began, he wordlessly picked up a large empty jar & proceeded 2 fill it wif golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles & poured them in2 the jar. He shook it lightly. The pebbles rolled in2 the open areas between the golf balls. He asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next took a box of sand & poured it in2 the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked again if the jar's full. The students replied wif an infamous "yes".

The professor then produced 2 cups of coffee from under the table & poured all its contents in2 the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want u 2 recognize that this jar represents ur life. The golf balls r the important things-- ur family, faith, health, passions, friends. Things that if everything else were lost & only they remained, ur life'll still b full. The pebbles r the other things that matter. ur job, house, car. The sand is everything else. The small stuff. "

"If u put the sand in2 the jar 1st," he continued, "There's no room 4 the pebbles nor the golf balls. The same goes 4 life. If u spend all ur time & energy on the small stuff, u'll never have room 4 the things that r important. Pay attention 2 the things that r critical 2 ur happiness. Play wif ur children. Take time 2 get medical checkups. Take ur partner out 4 dinner. There'll always b time 2 clean the house & fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls 1st, things that really matter. The rest is juz sand."

1 student raised her hand & asked what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad u asked. It juz goes 2 show u that no matter how full ur life seems, there's always room 4 a cup of coffee wif a friend."

well... that's it !! so how was the story ?? hope u loved it. haha... xD

had a match with dunman sce 2day at hougang sports hall... started head- counting & suddenly realised that the team was getting smaller and smaller :( belinda had gone overseas 2 no- idea- where... jafie, our team's libero, had gone on holiday 2 rawa island !! so all in all, we'd, say..., about 10 left ??

2day's 1st match's score was quite low: 9- 25... but at least 'seagulls' bucked up LOTS during the 2nd set, and i'm glad 2 announce -- 'seagulls' got a better score of 19- 25 (not very sure) !! the score was quite close, i must comment. anyways, losing's not the end of the world, so ya... 'seagulls' will put in TWICE the effort and PROVE it 2 the rest !! besides, experience was all 'seagulls' wanted 2 gain from this mini cup tournament, yeah 'seagulls' ?? * winks*

'seagulls' had a match in temasek poly with yuhua sec 2day... took a taxi with gloria & julliana cos we're 'rushing 4 time'. met the WORST- OF- THE- WORST taxi driver 1 could ever 碰到. * sigh... * just try picturing this:

the poly, u could say, was ginormous (enormous + gigantic) with various different blocks. without asking us which 1 we're heading 2, he drove us right in2 the engineering block !! when we requested him 2 head 4 the business block instead, he started swearing madly !!

it was stated in the rules that: drivers can collect $1.00 more ONLY if it's a public holiday or peak period or off- peak period or if passengers were picked up from a city area. since NONE of the conditions suited us, we didn't have 2 do so but he still charged us $8.10 !! In the end, since he was hurrying us, we gave him only $7.20 ( when the actual price should have been $7.10 only... ) Unhappy, he started another 'swearing session'.

so yeah... these r just 2 of the many many things that occured during the journey !! Luckily 4 us all, we don't meet these kind of people very often these days !! luckily...

yippeeee... finally had enough time 2 finish watching 'Freedm Writers'. wow !! the ending sure was a great nice one, also very touching and what you would call 'perfect'... i'd willingly love 2 watch it all over again, right from the start, if there's ever another opportunity. just wanna say: you'll NEVER regret watching it !! so yeah... that's about it. nites, folks... xD

started raining even b4 the sun was up, and the bus was packed with tons and tons AND tons of pple... squeezed like mad in2 it :( could be considered a rather bad start 2 a brand new day... couldn't use outdoor court bcos of you- know- what. so 2day there was nothing much 2 do besides 开球，滑步 and some others.

after training, went 2 7- eleven with julliana. felt a bit down bcos of some reasons thus she loan me her listening ear... so i just wanna say millions and millions AND millions of thx 2 her :D

finally learnt how 2 add a cbox into my blog (though i haven't give it a go yet xD)... thx 2 kahyong & yanzhan -- the 2 pro bloggers !! thx another million million million times !! haha... still quite blur about it though, about what code stuff and edit html. *sigh* just can't get it right...

2moro, there'll be training outdoors (while guys get the audi, of course). 'seagulls' will be training 4 the mini cup held the following day... dedicated specially 2 all 'seagulls': 'must 加油加油 hor... don't disappoint us kays ?? just so you know, i'll forever be rooting 4 you guys :) all the best and keep smiling...' you 'seagulls' rock !! haha...

super duper proud of the effort 'seagulls' put in 4 the match held at hougang sports hall 2day :) after all, they've done their best & anyways, competition isn't all 'bout winning, right ?? i remember the spirit of the 'seagulls', the determination in their eyes, the bond built among them... it was truly amazing. i've complete faith this team'll eventually make it, somehow or another...

anyways, after the match, 'seagulls' went back 2 school 4 more training. belinda, venessa & me were wet like fish after being caught in a downpour. went 2 the toilet 2 dry up a bit b4 continuing... managed 2 catch some spiking balls by coach. had a little 'discussion' on some stuff (let's not go in2 details) b4 finally taking a bus with julliana, which heads 4 home sweet home... xD

wow !! out of the dozen homework, i've only managed 2 complete 1 so far, which is like so so so sooooooo pathetic. i still have

6. history homework on E-portal...

...and i bet the list hasn't even been exhausted yet !! sigh... no wonder they often say: '人生是不公平的，习惯就好 '. how true is that !! i guess i'd better start chionging cos i've, say..., about 50 days left 2 the start of a brand new year ?? Help....

yeah... today sure was a great great day. 'seagulls' have finally spread out their wings and learnt to soar high up above the clouds in the vast blue sky -- congratulations once again on winning peicai sec school in the mini cup tournament :) wow !! that'll sure be 1 of the many tons of priceless memories of a fellow 'seagull'... anyways 4 now, millions and millions of 加油 4 the upcoming match on monday (12 Nov '07). Remember: Just keep your cool, calm your nerves, and do your best out there !! I'll always be behind you guys, or rather, 'seagulls' xD cheers...
